Jason Shaw’s invited talk at the UCL Speech Science Forum entitled “Gestural coordination in the living lexicon of spoken words” reviewed six recent studies from the Yale phonetics lab that together constrain our understanding of how the phonological representation of words in the lexicon relate to observable patterns of acoustic and kinematic variation in speech production.
