Four Yale Linguistics Faculty and Several Alumni Contribute to The Cambridge Handbook of Comparative Syntax
Cambridge University Press has recently published The Cambridge Handbook of Comparative Syntax, an extensive, 31 chapter volume that offers a comprehensive overview of theoretical, methodological, and empirical approaches to comparative syntax.
The volume features contributions from four Yale faculty members as well as several Yale alumni and affiliates.
- Veneeta Dayal co-authors “Syntax semantics” with Klaus Abels.
- Robert Frank co-authors “Computational approaches to syntactic variation” with former Yale postdoctoral associate Tim Hunter.
- Jim Wood co-authors “Voice” with PhD alum Matthew Tyler (PhD 2020).
- Raffaella Zanuttini co-authors “Clause types” with Paul Portner and Miok Pak.
In addition, Maria Kouneli (BA 2014) co-authors “Words and features,” and Suzanna Fong, who served as a lecturer in the department, co-authors “A-dependencies.”
