There were two Yale presentations at the 57th Algonquian Conference in Winnipeg last weekend! A talk entitled “A new look for Blackfoot Words: exploring the CrossLinguistic Data Formats” was presented by Natalie Weber, speaking for nine other co-authors who could not be present (Jem Burch YC ‘25, Leander He, Corine Huang, Katie Hur, Kyra Kaya, Alara O’Bryan YC ‘25, Lejla Regan, Nawal Naz Tareque YC ‘25, and Luke Weinbach). Helen Koulidobrova presented “Holding the Language Knowledge in the Time of Language Crisis: Bridging the Divides in SE Manitoba through documentation using COVID-based questionnaire” (with co-presenters Westin Sutherland, Theresa Sinclair, and Liliana Sánchez).
