As reported in the Yale Daily News, a new undergraduate Interdisciplinary Certificate was approved at the May 2 Yale College faculty meeting. Students will take 5 courses across at least three different areas of Indigenous Studies (language/culture, literature/arts, environment/politics, history/society/law, and science/education). They’ll also attend events on campus or elsewhere, and they’ll have the option to do a project or independent study. There will be a brief application and a list of eligible courses will be available when registration reopens in the Fall and enrollment will be available to students in the class of 2027.
