The story of Löma last names: new video output

The 2023 and 2024 Field Methods classes worked with Balla Koevogui, John Dopavogui, and Robert Beavogui, who are all speakers of Guinean Loma. The 2023 class recorded two short videos with Balla Koevogui and John Dopavogui.

Since then, Isaiah Suchman and Natalie Weber have continued to work with Balla Koevogui to annotate the short stories in Löma, and to translate them into French and English. 

We are proud to present the first of two videos, now available on the Yale Linguistics youtube channel.
