Jim Wood Publishes Icelandic Nominalizations and Allosemy
Jim Wood’s new book, Icelandic Nominalizations and Allosemy, has recently been published by Oxford University Press. In this book, Jim Wood brings detailed description of Icelandic nominalizations to bear on the general theoretical and architectural issues that nominalizations have raised since the earliest work in generative syntax. In doing so, he develops a theory of allosemy, where a single syntactic structure can be mapped to distinct semantic interpretations.
