Sirrý (full name: Sigríður Sæunn Sigurðardóttir) graduated in 2024 with a PhD degree in linguistics from Yale University. Her dissertation was on Language Forecasting, involving predictions about the distribution of selected linguistic variants in Icelandic in the future.
She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Iceland. Her project is titled Conceptualization of weather in medieval Icelandic texts.
