Samuel Andersson graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Linguistics in 2017, and joined the Yale PhD program later that year. They mainly work on theoretical phonology and prosody, using a combination of theoretical and experimental methods. Some of their work uses a phonological framework which is substance-free and rule-based.
After graduating in 2024 (“The Phonetics and Phonology of Abkhaz Word Stress”), Samuel now lives in Scotland, where they are pursuing a career in data science.
