Claire Bowern and colleagues publish paper in Science

Claire Bowern, along with colleagues Damian Blasi, Marcus Hamilton, and Russell Gray, published a paper in Science modeling the trajectory of language gain and loss over the last 12,000 years. They found evidence for a “golden age” of linguistic diversity, possibly with tens of thousands of languages. Yale News also covered the paper.
