Yale linguists presenting at NELS 45

This weekend several Yale linguists will present at the 45th Annual Meeting of the North East Linguistic Society, held October 31-November 2 at MIT.
 
On Friday morning, postdoc Kate Davidson will give a presentation titled “Action role shift as classifier predicate: An alternative to super monsters.” On Saturday afternoon, Kate and Deanna Gagne (UConn) will give a presentation titled “Context made visible: On the structure of quantified noun phrases.” 
 
At a poster session on Friday, lecturer Jim Wood, Einar Freyr Sigurðsson (UPenn), and Professor Raffaella Zanuttini will present a poster titled “Partitive doubling in Icelandic and Appalachian English.”
 
On Sunday, Jim Wood will also present a paper titled “On improper movement of accusative subjects.”
