Yale linguists at the Annual Meeting on Phonology

There were four Yale presenters at the Annual Meeting on Phonology last weekend (Oct 1-3). Chelsea Sanker presented a poster entitled “Comparison of coda voicing effects on perceived vowel duration”; Mike Stern and Jason Shaw presented a poster entitled “[tongue fold] as an emergent distinctive feature: kinematic evidence from Japanese sibilants” and Natalie Weber and Jason Shaw presented a talk entitled “Situating Blackfoot within a typology of (mobile) boundary tone grammars”.
