Yale linguists to present at Day of Data conference

Two Yale linguists will be presenting at this year’s Yale Day of Data conference on September 26th. This event features talks and a poster session focusing on issues related to data management, preservation, and sharing.
 
Postdoc Hannah Haynie will present on behalf of Associate Professor Claire Bowern on their work with sound symbolism in Aboriginal Australian languages. Their panel begins at 9:45 a.m.
 
PhD candidate Jason Zentz is presenting a poster on his joint work with two Yale library colleagues, Lauren Brown (Library Access Services) and Osman Din (Library IT). Their poster is titled ShelfScan: Streamlining library shelving, expanding quality control.” The poster session takes place 12:00-1:30 p.m.
