Yale Linguistics hosting FASAL 5 next month

Next month our department will host the fifth Formal Approaches to South Asian Languages workshop (FASAL 5), taking place April 11-12, 2015, organized by Associate Professor Ashwini Deo. This conference brings together linguists researching South Asian languages from the perspective of formal theories of morphology/syntax and semantics/pragmatics.
FASAL 5 will consist of sixteen talks and seven poster presentations over two days. Among the talks presented are two invited speakers: John Beavers (University of Texas at Austin) and Jeffrey Lidz (University of Maryland).
