Sara Sánchez Alonso gives talk on copular variation in Spanish

This week PhD candidate Sara Sánchez Alonso is in Tromsø, Norway, participating in a workshop called Heritage Language Acquisition: Breaking New Ground in Methodology and Domains of Inquiry. The workshop is being held by the LAVA research group (Language Acquisition, Variation and Attrition) at the University of Tromsø, and its purpose is to bring together researchers from around the world who work on heritage language acquisition and processing, regardless of theoretical linguistic perspective. Sara’s talk is titled “Copular variation in Spanish: Implications for the study of heritage speaker Spanish” and reports on joint work with Ashwini Deo (Ohio State) and associate professor Maria Piñango.
