Rashad Ullah joins faculty at SCSU

September 14, 2017

Ph.D. candidate Rashad Ullah has been appointed as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of World Languages and Literatures at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). In his new position, Rashad will be teaching Introduction to Linguistics during the fall term. With twenty-three students and fourteen class sessions running from September 11 to December 11, Rashad’s course is the only linguistics course offered at the university. Rashad will be fully responsible for developing the syllabus and curriculum, as well as all lectures and assignments for the course.

Rashad is advised by Professor Emeritus Larry Horn. His dissertation describes and analyzes newly discovered patterns in the morphology, semantics, and pragmatics of the Bengali language. Rashad has nine years of professional experience in fieldwork, pedagogy, lexicography, and psycholinguistic research, but his appointment at SCSU will be his first experience teaching a full course at the university level.

Congratulations Rashad!
