Claire Bowern gives talks at Berkeley, Dartmouth

May 20, 2016

Claire Bowern has given a series of invited talks at UC-Berkeley and Dartmouth College.

Earlier this month, she spent a week at Berkeley, where she gave talks on several aspects of historical linguistics, including to the Fieldwork Forum

At Dartmouth, Claire was invited to give a colloquium at the linguistics department, and presented “Language Change: Change Across the Lifespan and the Bardi Historical Record.” This talk discussed changes in the phonetics, morphophonology, and morphosyntax as observed by linguists over time, even as the Bardi language has fallen out of use.
