Claire Bowern delivers plenary talk at workshop in Leiden

Associate Professor Claire Bowern will be giving a plenary at the workshop Capturing Phylogenetic Algorithms for Linguistics, which will be held October 26-30, 2015, at the Lorentz Center in Leiden, Netherlands. Claire’s talk, titled “Pama-Nyungan Phylogenetics and Beyond,” will discuss work being conducted in her lab on Australian indigenous languages using Bayesian phylogenetic methods.

Alum Erich Round (PhD ‘09), a former postdoctoral associate in Claire’s lab, will also be presenting at the workshop, with a talk titled “More and better characters: The next big boost for phylogenetic algorithms.”
