Bob Frank and Raffaella Zanuttini give talks at Incontro di Grammatica Generativa

This week professor Bob Frank and professor Raffaella Zanuttini are in Pavia to participate in the 43rd Incontro di Grammatica Generativa, Italy’s annual generative linguistics meeting. Bob is an invited speaker for a workshop on “Order and Direction of Grammatical Operations”; his talk is titled “Top-down, bottom-up or inside-out? Direction and grain size in syntactic derivation.” Raffaella will be giving a talk on “The structure of presentatives.”

Also presenting a talk as part of the special workshop on grammatical operations is Tim Hunter, a former Yale postdoc who is now an assistant professor at UCLA. His talk will discuss “The empirical significance of derivational operations.”
